Solo Leveling is an anime adaptation of a South Korean web novel written by Chu-Gong. The story follows the protagonist, Sung Jin-Woo, who is one of the weakest hunters in a world where portals have opened, releasing monsters onto the earth.
One day, Jin-Woo and his team enter a dangerous dungeon, but only Jin-Woo survives. He discovers that he has a unique ability called "system message," which allows him to see quests, status updates, and items in a virtual reality-like interface.
This ability transforms Jin-Woo into a powerful hunter, capable of taking on even the strongest monsters.
As Jin-Woo rises in power, he uncovers a dark secret behind the portals and becomes embroiled in a larger conspiracy. He also gains allies and enemies along the way, as well as a deeper understanding of his powers and his place in the world.
Solo Leveling is coming this winter.
